Gold Coast Weather and Events June 2024

Gold Coast Weather and Events June 2024

There are a couple of big attractions on the Gold Coast this month. On Saturday 1st June there is Seafire, a free fireworks display on the beach at Surfers Paradise from 6pm to 9pm. From Wednesday 5th June through to Sunday 9th June Cooly Rocks On returns to Coolangatta with more than 900 vehicles displayed on the streets.

Weather: June looks like starting with a wet weekend, after that, sunny, partly cloudy days until the middle of the month when some storm activity has been forecast, then stormy again on the 23rd and the 24th. Most days are forecast as sunny with clouds.

You should reasonably expect maximum daily temperatures ranging from 200 to 220 decreasing towards the end of the month to temperatures ranging from 190 to 210 - overnight will be quite cool with an average around the mid teens, with three nights early in the month predicted to be the lowest at 110.

The water temperature at the beach should be about 220.

Humidity is usually an average of 65%.

We obtain much of our information from: Accuweather Website If you want to get information on specific days you can just click on the link.

If you come to the Gold Coast in June, we think that you might get a bit wet, but we doubt that you will get wet and cold.

Other matters: The school holiday crowds arrive next month; so you shouldn't expect to encounter crowds at the tourist attractions, and the beaches will be sparsely populated.

All beaches are patrolled from 8am-5pm during Queensland School Holidays, most are patrolled all year round. Never swim outside the flags or at beaches not patrolled by Life Guards. Here is a link to a map of patrolled Gold Coast beaches

There are many excellent picnic areas on the Gold Coast, a favourite being Tallebudgera Lagoon on the south side of the Burleigh Headland and the Gold Coast Botanic Gardens in Benowa.

We also have several local markets offering fresh produce, unique arts & craft, fashion, entertainment and street food. Click on this link Gold Coast markets to find locations.

The Gold Coast also has an endless supply of retail shopping including Australia's largest outlet shopping centre at Harbour Town. See the list below.

For nature lovers and bush walkers, now the weather is cooler, Springbrook National Park and Tamborine Mountain on the Scenic Rim are a must. For the kids, Tamborine Mountain has the Glow Worms Cave and Thunderbird Park where you can fossick for gemstone filled Thundereggs.
